Philosophy
The English Program of Colegio Beato Carlos Manuel Rodríguez promotes standards that move students beyond the level of acquisition of basic skills and towards the mastery of higher order thinking skills, emphasizing excellence for all students. This approach is based on Literacy, which can be defined as listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking. With reading being the central focus, it allows the standards of each skill to be taught in context, preparing our students for the real world and global community.
The English Department is dedicated to ensure that all students are provided a progressive path for literacy development in order to create independent, college, and career learners.
